Intro to Basket Weaving with Katie Sharpe.

August 24th. 1pm-5pm

Join Katie for Round Reed Basket Weaving this August. Students will make small- medium sized baskets using round reed in various colors, using a couple of weaving techniques to weave the bottom, sides, and rim. This is a beginner-level course, and no previous experience is required.

This class can be a bit messy so come dressed prepared to mess! An apron is helpful.

Class fee: $55 per person. All materials are included in class fee!

About the artist:

Katie is a multi-media artist that has taught classes in basketweaving, papermaking, bookbinding and natural dyes in the three years she has been living in Knoxville and working at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts. Before she taught art in a rural K-12 charter school in Oregon.
