Artist: Allison Meriwether

"My work delves into the complexities of individual identity and autonomy within a broader context. I explore themes of resistance, resilience and the preservation of one's authenticity or integrity in the face of external influences and expectations."

Allison Meriwether attended New York University and Long Island University where she received an MFA. She currently works in her Knoxville studio at West Fifth Studios full time and paints murals throughout the surrounding area.
